1000 x 1 mile ++ swims - gps confirmed distances only

#6 Breederivier 1 mile  23 March 2019   Kayaking weekend - took a swim in the Breederiver whilst others were kayaking - it did help that it was downriver! #5 17 Feb 2019 Sanlam 1 mile Grabouw Swimming 1 mile seems to be easy, and if you do your training, it is actually the easiest discipline within triathlon.  Family swim, with Werner, Ruanda, Elize.  Some benchmark times for the future. #4 Half ironman Gdynia - Swimming in the Baltic sea during 2017 was special as the sea was literally full of jellyfish, thousands of them.  The water was 20 degrees and we swam a one lap route in a flattish sea.  Participants were seeded according to age, I dont like that much, as times are normally a lot quicker when you self seed.  Even so, worth remembering.  #3 Half ironman Budapest - this picture was taken about 30 mins before race start when people can warm up.  The water was warm and most people swam without we...
