50 x 160km mtb trips - Transbaviaans 1 2 3......

Transbaviaans is a 24 hour mountainbike race over a 230km distance.    The  route starts in Willowmore in the main street (± 700 m above sea level) and then follows a farm road through Poortjies to link up with the Baviaanskloof turn-off ± 4 km out of town. The route then ascends over a distance of ± 26 km to the top of the   spectacular   Nuwekloofpas (± 1000m above sea level). For the next ± 80 km the route drops down into the Baviaanskloof passing through a number of farms such as Rietrivier and the Baviaanskloof Police Station at Studtis, after which it enters the   Baviaanskloof   wilderness area under the control of Eastern Cape Parks Board. This long descent  ends at Geelhoutbos a distance of ± 110 km from Willowmore. From here the route becomes more  strenuous, narrower and more difficult  to negotiate, reaching a high point at Bergplaas, at ± 147 km from Willowmore. Cape Epic Knysna to Cape Town

Cape Epic 2005 We were 5 cyclists living in Sir David Baird Ave who did the Cape Epic in 2005.  Vlooi, Liesel, Elize, Bob Schuiling and myself.  We all managed to finish. At the registration, after I landed fom Johannesburg.  The rain surprised us, and we had to buy these white jackets at short notice.  Oupa Vlooi did our back up, and Janus and Elizabeth came out to support us.  Janus was intended to ride with Ben Swart, but due to a fall, he had to pull out of the race. The 2005 edition of the Cape Epic started in pouring rain. The first stage took participants on a familiar route out of Knysna towards George, but perhaps the overcast skies and puddle-dodging path through the forests and fynbos did them no harm. After a big first day over 128 kilometres with 2 940 metres of climbing, they faced what would remain the longest stage for years. The Karoo to Coast is an annual 100 km mountain bike race held in September down the Prince Alfred's Pass from Uniondale to Knysna in South Africa.  5.  Saam met die girls in 2024 Saam met n New Zealander.gery wat met.n dikwiel en tekkies heel laaste gekom het.  Sy het dit nog steeds gecelebrate.  Eerte keer backup....dis n ander storie 4. 2022 saam met die blended Die blended family het opgeruk Knysna toe en by de Rust oorgeslaap voordat ons die volgende oggemd deurgeskiet het Uniondale toe.  Seed analytics se span het saamgekuier en saamgery. Tim het die hemde gesponser en sewe van ons het begi  en klaar gemaak.   Aand by Sirocco gekuier en twee dae in Knysna oorgeslaap.  Die support team (Piet, Frannie, Chris, Andries, Hermione) was amazing.  Kon by n paar plekkies kuier soos Ronnies sex shop, Buffelsdrift en Kasula winery.  Werner en Ruanda se eerste one-tonner. ...
