STAMOUERS PIETER JANSZ SWANEPOEL EN MARIA SIBELLA SACHS  1.1 Europese herkoms van Pieter Jansz Swanepoel Pieter Jansz Swanepoel en Maria Sibella Sachs is die stamouers van die talryke Swanepoel-familie in Suid-Afrika. Uit die beskikbare bronne blyk dit dat Pieter Jansz Swanepoel in 1699 aan die Kaap die Goeie Hoop aangekom het (KAB: VC 39, Vol2: 207 /231). Daar kon egter geen inligting oor sy Europese herkoms in die Kaapse argiefbewaarplek gevind word nie. Uit Pieter Jansz Swanepoel se naam kan 'n mens aflei dat sy vader Jan Swanepoel geheet het. Die afkorting Jansz staan vir Janszoon, dit wil se Jan se seun. 'n Ander leidraad wat kan help om sy Europese herkoms te bepaal, is die feit dat hy die plaas waarop hy sedert 1709 in die Land van Waveren weiregte gehad het en wat hy in 1716 in eiendom ontvang, Nieuwmunster genoem het (KAB: J 184; De Wet 1964: 77-78; Leibbrandt 1988: nr 82). Graffiti Graffiti is writing or drawings made on a wall or other surface, usually as a form of artistic expression, without permission and within public view.  When in Barcelona Dalene mentioned that she heard about graffiti in Barcelona, and would like to see it.   I took an interest in the topic, and actually got hold of some great artistic presentations.
